Proceus General Terms

Part I. Common terms

This part applies to every Proceus account, whether it is used for the application, the agents service or both. Parts II and III add what is particular to each.

1. Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern the use of the Proceus services ("Proceus"). By creating an account or using any of them, you accept them. If you accept them on behalf of a company, you declare that you can bind it, and the company is bound by them.

2. The services

One account gives access to:

The calculations follow the codes each version covers, among them ASME VIII Division 1, EN 13445, AD 2000, CODAP, PD 5500, GOST R 52857 and GB 150, and state the code, the clause applied, the data assumed and the versions of the software and of the materials database used. What they do not calculate (for example local loads, fatigue or wind) they say, and do not estimate.

3. Results are for guidance

Every result must be reviewed by a competent engineer before it is used in the design, fabrication or inspection of equipment. Every calculation and report says so.

4. Account and access

5. Acceptable use

You may not:

6. Personal data and privacy

7. Intellectual property

The software, the materials database, the documentation and the Proceus marks belong to Proceus or its licensors. These terms only give you the right to use the services while they are in force. The data you enter and the results you obtain for your equipment are yours, and you may use them freely with the review section 3 requires.

8. Availability, changes, suspension and closing an account

9. Changes to these terms, governing law and contact

Part II. The Proceus application

10. What it offers

The application lets you design pressure vessels (components, design and test conditions, nozzles, supports, jackets and stiffeners), view them in 3D, calculate them to the chosen code and get their calculation reports, and look up the materials database.

11. Your designs

12. Artificial intelligence assistant

The application's assistant helps you edit and calculate your saved vessels. To answer, it sends your message and the data of the vessel it is working on to an artificial intelligence model provider (Google, with its Gemini service), which processes them on Proceus's behalf, on terms that do not allow it to use them to train its models. If you do not want them to leave Proceus, do not use the assistant. What the assistant proposes must be checked like any result (section 3).

13. Licences and payments

Part III. The agents service (MCP and API)

14. What it offers

Proceus's calculations and materials search for artificial intelligence assistants and programs:

The assistant you use is a third party's service, with its own terms; what you send it is also subject to them.

15. Company keys

A company may receive keys so that its own systems use the service without a person signing in, each with the permissions assigned to it. The company is responsible for their use, must keep them secret and tell Proceus if they leak, so they can be renewed.

16. Plans and limits

Every new account has a free plan with low usage limits, which allows calculating. Proceus may offer paid plans with higher limits; their prices and terms will be published before they apply and accepted separately. Application licences do not include the agents service, unless stated on buying them.

Each organization has limits on requests and on simultaneous calculations, which depend on its plan and are shared by its people and its keys. Beyond them, the service asks you to wait a few seconds. A calculation that takes longer than 5 seconds is stopped.

17. What is recorded

The agents service does not keep your vessels' data. The figures you send (dimensions, pressures, materials) are used to calculate and are not recorded, because they may be your or your clients' trade secrets.

Of each request, only the following is recorded, for security, billing and support:

Item What for
Calling organization and client Applying its limits and plan
Tool, date and time, duration Measuring use and finding faults
Outcome (success or the error code, and the field concerned, never its value) Support
Input size and number of components Measuring load
Software version Reproducing a calculation
Request identifier Finding a call when you ask for help

These records are kept for 13 months and then deleted.
